ILFC 1031 CATALYST ©

ILFC 1031 costs less than 1 cent per gallon of fuel oil treated and produces an average 5 percent saving in fuel usage. At today's fuel oil prices this is a 300 percent return on investment. As a bonus, more complete combustion also reduces boiler scale, soot, and smoke.

GREATER FUEL EFFICIENCY

In comparative tests conducted on two identical package boilers, the additive decreased the combustible carbon residue present in the scale on first and second pass boiler tubes by 90 and 69 percent respectively. In addition, scale produced by the treated fuel contained no low-melting point sulfate deposits, and its melting point was 300 percent higher than scale produced by untreated fuel.

These data are evidence of more complete combustion. Also, the resulting lower carbon residue in boiler tube scale increases heat transfer efficiency because carbon is an excellent thermal insulator. Thus the effect of ILFC 1031 Combustion (C) is two-fold: More complete combustion produces more useful heat. Higher heat transfer efficiency means greater utilization of the heat produced and lower flue gas temperatures.
